I am Coco — a tattoo artist from Slovakia. Growing up, I was surrounded by folk culture, and its traditional motifs and rhythms naturally shaped the way I see and create. I often reference these elements in my work, combining them with graphic composition, minimal form, and ornamental detail.
I have a background in contemporary art, which draws me to experimentation and a more abstract visual language. This connection helps me shape tattoos that feel both rooted and fresh — personal in form, but inspired by tradition. I’m mindful of how tattoos interact differently with the female and male body, and I like working with that contrast through shape and placement. In some projects, I approach tattooing like designing a piece of jewelry — small, intentional, and close to the body. I enjoy creating subtle designs that feel complete, whether they carry meaning or exist purely for their visual beauty.
I’ve been tattooing for over five years, working in various cities across Slovakia and spending some time in the Netherlands. Traveling and working in different environments continues to shape my approach — I’m always exploring new ideas while building on the visual roots that inspire me.
