As many great tattoo artists do, every so often Horisumi takes on an apprentice to pass his knowledge, skills and experiences of the craft onto. The end of 2023 saw the studio take Kaede on as its newest apprentice. Loyal clients of the studio may recognise Kaede as the hardworking individual often busy with helping our full time artists stock and reset their workstations, greeting clients at the door, and with keeping the studio neat and tidy as the days sludge on.
In the last year and nine months, Kaede has been learning the basics of being a tattoo artist and has been quietly committed to producing more and more art, testing out different subjects and styles in an effort to develop a unique, distinct and iconic personal style. Kaede has been inspired by Japanese, neo-tradtional, American traditional, and illustrative styles, and has been working to bring colourful, detailed, and fresh designs to life.
Kaede is now taking clients at discounted rates. Here are some of Kaede’s first tattoos, all done at our studio:
It’s quite a small line up at the moment–luckily, Kaede currently has an abundance of flash available at apprentice rates. There’s some fine line, colour designs, and a few designs with Japanese influence.
All designs on the following flash sheet are $50 and can be done in colour or black and grey. For the remaining flash sheets, inquire through our website or over email for pricing.
