Up until recently, we’ve been closed every Sunday and Monday, but with the new year we’ve opened up the shop each and every Sunday. While we have a steady rotation of Sydney tattoo artists and clients each week, it does tend to be quieter than throughout the week. This has lent itself to many a chill afternoons spent listening to R&B, the quiet chatter of clients and artists and the ever-present buzz of the tattoo machines.
This chill Sunday, we’ve got a few cool projects going on. Take a look at some below.
First up, we’ve got Max half-way through a forearm tattoo, featuring imagery of a mountain. Though it’s not visible from this angle, an incredible phoenix also makes up half of this tattoo. Incorporated into the design is the family name of this client. They’ve got a fair few hours to go, so stay tuned for the final product!
Kai is also currently working on a forearm piece, two wolves set against a forest backdrop. This client has sat like a trooper all day, despite the discomfort of lying on your front for hours and hours. Peek the progress below!
Moving away from black and grey realism, Ian is also working the floor today, chipping away at an arm sleeve for one very dedicated client. They’re now in the process of filling the background, pausing at times to hand-draw on little details in the outline. What we love about this one is the placement of the snake–see how it sits at the bottom of the wrist and curls upwards?
In between clients, our senior apprentice Bonzai has also been working on some drawings and flash. Here’s a sneak peek at his progress on a painting of a foo-dog:
Though Sundays are quiet, they’re never boring. If you find yourself free on a Sunday and are wanting a sick tattoo, or just wanting to check out the studio and have a chat, make sure to swing by!
