As times change, we’re seeing more and more people getting birth month flowers rather than names as a way to subtly celebrate or honour a loved one. After all, while there’s always a chance that a person will change their name, there’s no chance that they’ll change the month they were born!
It’s common for multiple family members to come in and get matching birth month flower tattoos, so this one is great as a gift and as a group experience. Simple fineline is typical for these types of tattoos, but as you’ll see below there are also ways to spice things up! For a family themed tattoo other than birth flowers, there are lots of possible routes to go! We’ve seen solar system/planet tattoos, finger print tattoos, all sorts of heart tattoos (sometimes with initials or names woven in), families represented as animals (either inspired by zodiacs or by the individual’s preferences, like a mama bird and a series of baby birds), or fineline or outline recreations of family portraits or important images, to name a few. Get creative with it!
